Ok. I was just kidding around, but there's too many ghosts of past forum posts shouting in my ear to let this slide.
I've lost count of how many anti-ambulation folks have been shouted down with the "but it's optional, ya moron" arguement. Guess what most of the anti-ambulation folks were saying. Basically "its a severe break with the rest of EVE".
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by an irony monster.

There isn't one genre that couldn't be brought into the EVE universe.

Not sure why, but wizardy stuff combined with eve made me think of this...
But anyway, I agree eve has room for it all. Imagine if every planet was potentially another MMO. 
Or that there were crossover points. Like, lets say there is a Planetside sort of MMO that is ran along side Eve, and the crossover point was that Eve pilots could use the Planetside guys as their invasion force. So, there's Eve in which you are always a pod pilot, never an FPS sort of thing. Then there is Eve-Ground Forces, another MMO of the FPS kind in which players there are always the FPS dudes and never pod pilots.
So, as part of the new Sov system, you have to conquer primary planets in a system. In order to do this you need ground forces.

We could shop their standings board for "**** hot" battle groups. They could shop our Alliance boards to align with what they thought was a winning group.
Crazy stuff, yeah?
